WHAT IS LINKEDIN JOB POSTING?
LinkedIn has become fundamental to the way a lot of organisations recruit. This feature will enable our customers to optimise the visibility of their vacancies on LinkedIn and support their candidate attraction strategy.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Oleeo's LinkedIn job posting integration is simply a tool which allows customers to post their jobs from Oleeo directly onto their Company Jobs page on LinkedIn.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Oleeo provides an XML feed of jobs to LinkedIn which they automatically collect and post to the appropriate Company Jobs Pages. We can support posting to multiple Company Jobs Pages from one Oleeo system.
You have two options when it comes to posting your jobs to LinkedIn:
- Posting All Jobs - Automatically post ALL jobs that users post in the normal method to their External Job Board. (This only means all jobs from a specified Job Board - so you can easily exclude Internal Jobs). So ALL jobs that are posted to your external job board will be posted to LinkedIn.
OR
- Selective Posting - Only post jobs that have been specified for LinkedIn. There will be a new item in your vacancy form where you can select whether or not to post to LinkedIn.
You can also choose whether you want the link from LinkedIn to go to the job advert or directly to apply.
CONSIDERATIONS
- Some customers advertise roles that require an application process outside of the ATS. These vacancies are referred to as ‘No Apply’ vacancies, and the ‘Apply’ button is not available when the vacancy is accessed within the Oleeo job board. However, when the Oleeo ‘No Apply’ brand is selected, an ‘Apply’ button will still be visible in the LinkedIn post.
- There’s a set of fields that are mandatory to provide to LinkedIn. Extra information can be provided (e.g. job type and job function) and if it’s omitted, LinkedIn may automatically fill in these details using its own logic. The required fields include:
- Location, which can be in the form “city, country” (in one field) or “city”, “county/state”, “country” in three fields.
- Email address for the job poster. Note that this is for LinkedIn to associate each job to a verified contact at the organisation. It’s not added to the post on LinkedIn.
NEXT STEPS
Oleeo will complete some background configuration which will allow your jobs to be posted on to LinkedIn via an XML feed. There may also be some work required through LinkedIn to ensure they are reading and processing the XML feed. We can provide you with guidance when you raise your request.
If you would like to take advantage of this feature you will need to raise a Change Request in the case portal. In the case, please state:
- Your LinkedIn Company ID or IDs, you can use more than one! If you’re not sure what this is, guidance can be found below.
- What type of posting you require: All Posting or Selective Posting.
- Whether you want to link to take users to the job advert or directly to apply.
- Which locations will be used for your LinkedIn posts.
- The email address to associate with your job postings.
LinkedIn Company ID
Finding a company's LinkedIn Company ID can be done by looking at current jobs within your organisation on LinkedIn.
The URL will then contain the LinkedIn Company ID e.g. https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/?f_C=11734240. In the example the company ID is 11734240 (Oleeo's).
