Overview
When creating an Interview or Assessment Centre from the left-hand menu, you can choose to create from a template. This automatically fills in the Properties and Schedule with the template details, significantly saving time.
This feature is especially valuable when you need to create multiple similar schedules.
Templates can’t be used when creating interviews directly from within opportunities.
STEPS TO CREATE A TEMPLATE
Step 1: Initiate the process
- From the left-hand menu, click Interviews > Interview Templates or Assessment Centre Templates.
- From the Templates toolbar, select Create.
Step 2: Complete the Properties form
- The only mandatory fields are 'Title' and 'Date'.
- The date you input serves as the initial start date for any slots added to the template. However, users creating schedules from the template will be prompted to enter a new date, which will become the start date for the slots on the new schedule.
- The purpose of all of the fields in this from are describe on the following page: Inputting interview Properties
- Once you have entered the required properties, click Create.
- While the template is now ready for use, you may also consider adding a schedule of time slots to it for further customisation.
Step 3: Adding a Schedule to the template (optional)
- This step is optional. If Interviews or Assessment Centres created using the template don't follow a standard schedule, you can skip this step.
- Adding a schedule to the template follows the same process as adding a schedule to an Interview or Assessment Centre. Refer to the guidance on Creating an Interview schedule or Creating Assessment Centre schedule for detailed steps.
- When a user creates a schedule using the template, the slots will begin on the date selected by the user in the Properties tab. They can change any days by using the ‘Move Day’ button below the calendar.
- The slots will be initially marked as ‘unreleased’. They will need to release the slots to make them available to candidates, which is done from the schedule’s ‘Interviews’ tab.
