OVERVIEW

Name redacted recruitment is designed to foster fairness and equality in the screening process. The primary aim of name-redacted recruitment is to mitigate unconscious biases that may arise from a candidate's name and personal details, thereby providing a more level playing field for all applicants.

By hiding personally identifiable information such as names, contact details and addresses during the initial stages of the hiring process, organisations can ensure that candidates are evaluated based solely on their qualifications, skills, and experience, promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

NAME REDACTING APPLICATION FORMS

  • Oleeo's Name Redacted solution conceals candidate's personal details from hiring managers to mitigate bias.
  • All personally identifiable information will be hidden from the hiring manager and replaced with the text "RESTRICTED DATA".
  • Recruitment Team members can still access the data during the screening process.
  • Personal details are revealed to hiring managers only after an application progresses past the screening stage.

CV REDACTMENT

  • For organisations that request CVs or cover letters, a CV redacting feature can be made available.
  • This feature attempts to remove personal details from submitted documents.
  • Candidates are prompted to review and approve the 'redacted' CV or cover letter.
  • They can download the 'redacted' version, manually remove any remaining personal details, and re-upload it.
  • The 'redacted' version is accessible to hiring managers via the candidate's Application Summary page.
